Glad I started this.
Some brilliant replies.Cheers folks.
Gen x were brilliant live there.
Did anyone do the sham gig at Top rank brighton.
Loads of palace bowled in and it went right off.
Pursey stopped the gig in tears and begged for peace.

Sorry, forgot,do remember some punks up at the Palace, prob '78 '79 ish,in the Whitehorse end.used to sing a song that went along the lines of "The Heart Attack Squad" and they wore Hawaian shirts.

Ah the heart attack boys.
Mainly drank in the Melbourne in Wallington.
Built a brick wall over the front door in the early hours of the morning after a row with the landlord.
They would do overnighters to away games and book into a hotel giving adresses in Uxbridge.
I remember streeter,carly,lurch and stan.

Having just read about Orient away years back I was reminded of about 50/60 punks and skins who were there.
I spent most of the day with them and tbh they were fukkin brilliant.
Anybody else remember them?
They managed to get a couple of bottles of pernod into the game and drank their arses off throughout the match.
I,ve got one photo of them somewhere at Cambridge away but only about thirty of them by then.
Any names for this bunch of fruitcakes????

I'm not putting any names up but yes...oh bloody yes, i know more than just a few ! Oh alright Just one name..Honey Monster..and his brother !! CPL drove my mum mental..

I rememeber a lot of the CPL punks, a couple of them still go to Palace tho the piercings and tartan trousers are long gone, one of them drinks in the Clifton every home game round by the tv, Cant for the life of me think of his name tho, He's a part of history,I recalll seeing him in the late 70's and early 80's
Not a punk but Monty (Madmonty) was in the Glaziers lounge Sat took me back many a year seeing him again!!!

Edited by Barcelona Based Fan (22 Aug 2010 6.14pm)

Ah monty... Was he sober???
Do you remember when he ran on the pitch when play had been stopped, got the ball and scored???
Cant remember who we were playing but that is one f***ing great memory.

Was that the FA Cup Youth Final in '78? 14,000 and one of the crowd ran on at half-time, I think, amd scored.
