Todays extra download is a set by The Steepwater Band that was recorded at the Phases Of The Moon Festivl, Danville, Illinois on the 12th September 2014. This is in superb quality and the audio for the show has been taken from the soundboard and it sounds top notch. According to my files this is the first album or bootleg by this band that I've posted which I found hard to believe... they have been around for a long time and have about a dozen or so albums to their name. They come from Chicago and were formed in 1998 and are still going today. They play a mix of great rock with a bluesy feel to it... and they are wicked. If you don't know The Steepwater Band then give this boot a listen... I think you will like them.... Todays first download is a set by Arthur Lee and Love that was recorded at the Roskilde Festival, Denmark on the 29th June 2002. This is in superb quality and the audio for the set has been taken from the soundboard and it sounds top notch. I've posted quite a few albums and bootlegs by Arthur Lee & Love over the years on the mp3 thread and this is another top sounding bootleg for the collection. If you like Arthur Lee & Love you will definitely want this one... Todays second download is a set by Los Lobos that was recorded at Milligan's Chicago on the 14th December 1984. This is in superb quality and the audio for the show has been taken from an FM broadcast of the show and it sounds top notch. According to my files this is only the second bootleg by Los Lobos that I've posted - good quality boots are very, very rare. This is a cracking set and if you like Los Lobos you will want this one. It ends with the bands most famous song "La Bamba". This is great stuff and is thoroughly recommended. Todays extra download is an unreleased album by Neil Young. This is Chrome Dreams - the unreleased rust edition and it's absolutely wicked. The audio has been taken from the studio soundboard and it's crystal clear - pin drop perfect sound. A friend asked me for some NY boots and this is one of the albums I sent - so I thought I'd post as todays extra download as the link is still active. I have posted this before - but a long time ago now. This is one of my favourite NY boots and if you like Neil Young and don't have this - grab it now, it will be a long time before it's posted again - if ever!. This is in superb quality and the audio for the set has been taken from the soundboard and it sounds top notch. I've posted loads of boots and albums by the MSP over the years including a couple of festival shows already this year. If you grabbed either of those then grab this one as well... this is great stuff and is thoroughly recommended. Todays second download is a set by Elton John with Ray Cooper that was recorded in Nantes, France on the 20th September 2009. This is in superb quality and the audio for the show has been taken from the soundboard and it sounds top notch. I've posted quite a few shows by EJ over the years as well as quite a few studio released albums. This is another top bootleg for the collection with a top setlist. If you like Reg Dwight then grab this one.. this is thoroughly recommended. Todays extra download is a bootleg of unreleased recordings made by the late Karen Carpenter which were to be for a new Carpenters album - but they were shelved by Karen in May 1980 and never released. These tracks were recorded in New York in 1979 and are unmixed and exactly as recorded with no overdubs or any sort of mixing. The songs are all complete and they have a uptempo r'n'b feel and are funkier - but all carry Karens trademark vocals. If you like Karen Carpenter - this is a must have... this is thoroughly recommended... and then some!.. Todays first download is a set by Mr Pink Floyd - Roger Waters. This is the classic Pink Floyd album "Wish You Were Here" performed live by Roger and it's in superb quality. Unfortunately, there is no information as to when and where it was recorded - not that it really matters... the music is what counts and that's wicked. If you like the WYWH album - grab this download and hear how the man that wrote it performs it...
