Todays first download is a set by David Bowie that was recorded at the Glastonbury Festival in 2003. This is in superb quality and the audio for the show has been taken from an FM broadcast of the show and it sounds top notch. This is not the whole set - but it's all thas was broadcast. David still performs the classics "Changes" "Heroes" and "Life On Mars!". I thought I'd posted this show - but I can't see it anywhere in my files - so if you like the Thin White Duke - this is thoroughly recommended... Todays second download is a short set by The Smashing Pumpkins that was recorded at the Manchester Academy, Manchester o the 15th September 1993. This is in superb quality and the audio for the set has been taken from the soundboard and it sounds top notch. I've posted stacks of shows by the SP's over the years and this is another top show for the collection. If you like Smashing Pumpkins - this is thoroughly recommended... Todays extra download is a set by Genesis that was recorded at the Festhalle, Frankfurt Am Main, Germany on the 30th October 1981. This is in superb quality and the audio for the set has been taken from the soundboard and it sounds top notch. This is one of the best sounding Genesis boots I've heard - great sound on this one. I was recently asked for some live Genesis and I used this one and the Chicago show I recently posted. I have also posted this one before but it was a few years ago now. If you missed it then - grab it now... I doubt if I will repost this one again. Todays first download is a bootleg by Badfinger that contains alternate mixes and demos that the band reorded for their album "Ass". They recorded the album on the Apple label but were soon about to leave to join Warner Brothers. A lot of lawsuits followed which ultimately resulted in the suicide of Pete Ham the bands singer and founder. A few years later another band member Tom Evans also committed suicide. This band toured non stop but there are very few good quality shows available anywhere on the net... I only have a few live shows and some other studio takes... If you like Badfinger then grab this one.... this is thoroughly recommended.. Todays second download is a bootleg by Motley Crue that was recorded at two venues - one in Pasadena on the 30th October 1982 and the other in Tucson on the 3rd September 1983. Both of these shows are in superb quality and the audio in both cases has been taken from the soundboard and it sounds top notch. I've not posted that many shows by Motley Crue over the years - I have a policy of only posting good quality sounding shows - and I haven't found that many good quality shows... Todays extra download is a recent recording by The Boomtown Rats that was recorded at the BBC Maida Vale Studios, London on the 22nd November 2014. This is in superb quality and the audio for the recording has been taken from a BBC FM broadcast/iPlayer rip and sounds top notch. The programs were aired on the BBC Radio 4 Mastertapes program "A Tonic For The Troops" on the 1st and 2nd of this month. The program includes two long interviews with the band (which can be deleted if not wanted) and it also includes 4 live tracks from the album in question "A Tonic For The Troops" which was released in 1978. The music is great and if you like The Boomtown Rats - then grab this one... Todays first download is a set by Paul McCartney & Wings that was recorded at the Apollo Theatre, Glasgow, Scotland on the 17th December 1979. This is in superb quality and the audio for the show has been taken from the soundboard and it sounds top notch. This show is wicked and features songs by Wings with a few from his Beatles days. The second part of the show also features a few tracks from another show - Concert For The People Of Kampuchea on the 29th December 79. Some great stuff on this one and if you like Macca - grab this one....
