I think this would be a fantastic appointment. He's a proven motivator and should bring good knowledge of lower league bargains. Has good links to Harry Redknapp as well, meaning the chance of loaning someone like Woodgate maybe become more of a reality (maybe slightly optimistic).

I agree - I'm very keen on Howe getting the job. What he'd done with Bournemouth is nothing short of miraculous.

Come on 2010 - you know it makes sense

Would be very, very happy with this.

Exactly the route I wanted to take in getting a new man in.

Maybe it's a coppell sugestion to 2010, i'm sure Parish would have spoken to SC on monday, Coppell upstairs still sounds good too.

It means lots of people are talking about Eddie Howe on twitter! Hopefully in relation to him being the new Palace manager.

This would be very exciting if true.He could form a great partnership with Dougie, and would be a good move for Dougie's future at Palace.

Can't see them both being here.

Dougie should go for the vacant Barnet job, where he's also adored, and cut his managerial teeth.

Would want the new man to bring in his own staff.

I would love to see Howe appointed. He may be young, but what he has achieved in his short managerial career so far has been excellent.
