Would be a great idea for the club to charter a train ideally from Norwood Jct or East Croydon would be just like the old days
Scrap that they need 12 weeks notice Edited by Barcelona Based Fan (30 Oct 2011 7.39pm) Rail Blue are in adminstration. Try West Coast Railways or Direct Rail Services. Edited by Dancpfc (31 Oct 2011 2.56pm)

Train tickets are around £70 (standard price) so if they can do cheaper I'm sure there will be loads of people interested
Trivial fact - Palace usually win 5-1 at least once a season, maybe next season? |

Ok guys here's the lowdown from Monarch Airlines c/o 1st Aviation We have the availability of chartering a 174 seat Monarch Airbus which can depart from LGW to MAN and returning the same day after the game. Flight times are at our disposal, we nominate a time we wish to depart LGW and a time to depart MAN for the return flight. IF the game goes into extra time and penalties the charter flight can be delayed in 1 hour slots by ourselves so missing the flight back is not an issue, IF the game goes into extra time we are able to call the company to let them know and they will delay the flight until a slot which MAN can then accomodate us to depart in so this is at our call with no extra charge. 1st Aviation do alot of the charter trips for football supporters and are a highly recommended company to deal with as they are a Subsidary of Monarch Airlines. The cost of this trip will be £70.00 per person, taxes are £47.02 per person = £117.02 The guy I have been dealing with is very helpful and just to put peoples minds at rest this price includes insurance from the charter company which will cover all of us whilst flying. The only downside to this is they want 174 x £70.00 upfront and also 174 x £47.02 upfront for this to go ahead which is where im hoping CPFC2010 can help with this part as im afraid my pockets dont stretch deep enough! Assuming we dont manage to sell 174 seats the company will refund the taxes (£47.02) for the amount of unsold seats. So thats it guys, not sure if this appeals or what but have a think! The distance from MAN to Old Trafford is approx 7.2 miles so would also need to arrange 2/3 coaches to take us from the airport and back again after the game, cant see this being a major cost though!

As mentioned in one of my earlier posts, there are trains from Manchester Piccadilly to the airport are about every 40 mins at that time & it takes 20 mins so might not need the coaches Maybe send details to BBS as I'm sure they will have people interested

I've made Steve Parish and Terry Byfield aware of this thread so hopefully the club can look into this for us! This seems such a good way for fans to get up to the game and back at a reasonable hour it seems silly not to do this!

HAPPY to be an employee of 2010!!!!! |
