Ward is signed as a right back, to play right back, only. He was messed around by Portsmouth because they had a squad that was falling apart. In the management's eyes, the only time he'd be playing centre back would be if it was between him and Moxey (and even then they may view LB cover strong enough to warrant playing Moxey there). We are after a CB and neither Inniss or Ward will be any higher than 4th choice. unless we only have one recognised centre half (paddy so far)
