McCormack states his first choice is to stay at Leeds and Warnock says he doesn't want to sell unless something else happens.

So unless something changes at Leeds he will sign a new deal with them - although noticeable that the door is left open by both for a move to happen if a contract is not agreed or a new player is signed.


Well that something else is that they are looking to sign CMS, to add they also have Becchio so it would create competition. In saying that they have just sold Snodgrass, so keeping McCormack will be crucial. So I cannot see this happening to be frank, and with the restricted budget it would be difficult to sign him up pending on what price Leeds would put on the player.

This thread will go on until he's signed somewhere. And he hasn't, so if the new owners don't pay him enough he goes - and there's more than one reason for all this - Leeds position was very uncertain with new owners coming in who might not be too generous, and an exodus of players - there has been a realistic possibility of McC going, and he's going too look for the best deal (I know it's all been said 100 times), he prob wud prefer Leeds to offer it, but if they don't and we can trump up £1mil and 15k per week (Ambrose's wages - don't know what McC is getting at Leeds) then we have a chance, not a great chance but a chance - and we can afford it now. But does he want to play in front of 14000 a week in a delapidated stadium? Prob not, but he may be more persuaded by Doogie and our board than Warnock and no board, so while there's still a chance our wretched hope lingers on.

Back of the Yorkshire Evening Post says that he is waiting for a new contract offer which they think he'll get and that they think he's going nowhere.

I think we should move on from this one now

pps It's defintely the board and managers fault. As well as the tea lady, cleaning, pitch man and accountant. Sack them all before we're all doomed!!

No its not over...we must have more stories from those in the know to keep it running until transfer deadline day.

Its all lies at Leeds he is ready to sign for us but they just dont want to break it to the fans yet...thats my guess.

Oh no it isn't - what if the offer isn't acceptable and 'something happens', i.e. one of the chasing clubs offers more wages than Leeds, and the new owners decide it's better to cash in a million or so now than lose him for nothing. Unlikely, but quite possible. Not 200 pages, I'd do a spread at 150 and buy, don't even think the takeover's been completed at Leeds so us dreamers can flog the poor dying nag a few times more.

Forgive me I was just so mortified that it may not come to anything that I lost my mind and belief. Of course it still can happen , I believe I do. Maybe if we all clap our hands it might happen.

Can see RM possibly going to Brighton and CMS going the other way as a replacement. Just a feeling I have.

ITS NOT OVER YET ! maybe we can keep this going all through this season, peaking at the transfer window and then getting busy again next summer !!
