This must be the first time in history that there are a million stories on the web with who's NOT in the team but it's impossible to find out who is.... I had heard that Clyne was shortlisted. Anyone know anything?

shame for Goldenballs that Sven isn't picking the team.Always played his best football when he was humping the gorgeous Rebbecca Loos, it all went downhill when he went back to the stupid stick. Edited by Bin Liner (28 Jun 2012 4.31pm)
after 13 years in which Bernard Lerring had pulped over 4 thousand weasels he suffered a compound nervous breakdown.

Clyne isn't. Zaha is. Not sure who made the final team. Agree Beckham should have been given a spot, given his involvement in the Olympics.

Pearce has been given the job to try and win games. Considering he can only pick British players this is a particularly daunting task but when you consider that the 18 players picked will have never played a competitive match together as a complete team, it will be nigh on impossible. Therefore the players he does pick have to be the best available. Becks has said himself that he wanted to be picked on football ability alone, which he wouldn’t have been. Whilst I would have loved to have seen him play against UAE, his exclusion will leave it open for a younger midfielder, possibly (hopefully) Zaha.

Couldn't agree more (with the majority). Disgusting decision. Pierce is a small-minded little t*** who has completely failed to grasp the point of the job. He appears to be the only person in the free world who is taking himself seriously.
Sydenham by birth. Selhurst by the Grace of God. |

I don't think it's really in the Olympic spirit though. Let's face it, this tournament will be much less professional by it's very nature, anyway. He would have been a decent addition, if not exactly the best available. I am glad that it gives Zaha a bit more of a chance, though.

I heard if Zaha is picked in the 18 man squad then he will miss our first 4 games of the season.
The world was a mess but his hair was perfect! |
