"Senior black players are considering talks to discuss forming their own breakaway federation to deal with race and discrimination after the John Terry racism trial." Now I don't particularly care if they want their own federation as long as white players can join. If white players wanted their own federation with exclusion to black, all hell would break loose, so I'm hoping white can join the black federation. I used to work at a bank in Bournemouth where there was a Gaysoc. Not many owned up to being members....so I heard.

Fair point as the head of the players union (Clark Carlisle) and last time I was aware assistant to Gordon Taylor was Brendon Baston that there were enough black people in high profile positions in the existing PFA.

Just like the black swimmers can be identified as the ones being helped out by the lifeguards. I have no problem with them having their own organisation, but would question why they feel it's necessary (particularly given, as someone has already pointed out) that there are a number of high position black representatives in the existing organisations. If it's a direct response to the Terry case, that was tried in a court of law, so nothing would change there, and noboday has tried to imply that what he was accused of (and found innocent of) would be an offence under existing rules.
