In case you might be interested. Just booked train tickets for our first away league game for £28 return from Paddington. 15.30 from Paddington and arrives Bristol Temple Meads 17.15.(£18.00) Leaves at 22.35 and arrives back at 00.33.(£10.00) Having done it a few times theres a bus that takes you to and from the ground from outside the pub at the end of the avenue outside the station, takes approx 15 minutes each way.

Long way from the station mate, you will have to be out pretty sharp to catch the 10.35 unless you can jump in a cab

It is quite a way but an hour and five minutes is ample. (19.45 KO and 21.30 finish). It took about 30 minutes back from the ground last time.

I'm meeting up with Paul (AQG2) in the pump house, it's on the same stretch of water as the cottage. Does good food and beers, but easier to get to ground afterwards than the cottage.

theres a train service from temple meads to parsens street which is under 10mins walk from the ground if that helps.

a taxi to the ground from temple meads is about £5 as i remember.

no beer sold in the ground tho, even tho you spend your time in the ground staring at the stand opposite sponsored by blackthorn

Parsons Street connection to Temple Meads is sparse that time of night and slower than the bus.

I think there is ample time to get the bus to Temple Meads to catch the London train.

LOL... adopted Bristolian...... they still call me a cockney when I speak.

There might be a special connecting service from Parson Street, but don't bank on it... safer to get the bus which should only take 15 minutes from the ground to Temple Meads. You might have time for a swift half.
