Why do we do this?!?! No other team trials unheard of players except us, EVERY season. They never work out as shown by Yogo and Tiago. Were 10 days till Watford and still trialling players, absoloutely ridiculous. Everyone is generally unheard of at this level, until they get signed by a bigger team from a smaller team - excepting a few big names at lower levels (most of whom won't be taken on trial unless their contract had expired). In all fairness no one had heard of Ian Wright or Andy Johnson either. Or most of the Palace team before they were signed. Incorrect (I think that's how it goes isn't it?) Most people in football had heard of Andy Johnson for his expolits at Birmingham prior to joining us..or most of Palace team? That is a bit of a generalisation which is again not accurate as certainly most Crystal Palace fans would of heard of most, if not all of the players who had signed for the Club in recent times. Sorry to be like this but have to disagree with all of that.
We love you,we love you,we love you and where you play we follow,we follow,we follow, cos we support the Palace, the Palace, the Palace and thats the way we like it,we like,we like it...WOAH,WOAH,WOAH!!! A winner is a dreamer who never gives up... |

These names get more ridiculous every week
I'll never forget the day that Danny Butterfield scored that hattrick. Holloway's Red and Blue Army! No Matter What. |

Kosokko sells fireworks to underage kids in the New Addington area. Ukay works on the tills at Asda but has been known to show a nifty turn of pace at goals on a Wednesday night where he plays for Inter My-nan. Rosa was either one of the obscure signings we made in the Goldberg era or the black woman who refused to get up for a white woman on a bus in America, I can't remember. Unfortunately with the wage structure we're working under, this is the best we can hope for.
If something can't be described in plain English, maybe you shouldn't base an entire society on it. Just saying. |

Isn't rosa the cleaner in family guy?!?!

remember we hadn't heard of parr before he joined (unless you avidly follow norwegian football, who doesn't?) and he was Player of the Season last year. Agreed, they should have played in earlier trials but the trialists aren't the issue, it's if they're good enough getting them in, which isn't happening. Ramage and Baxter, both frees, could have been done weeks ago.

We just signed Ramage as cover RB andCB. Why more RB cover?

Sorry to be like this but have to disagree with all of that. I was stretching for an example. He was a make weight in a deal for our prolific striker, and hadn't really set the world alight at Brum. No one actually expected him to be a legend at Palace who'd set the back of the net alight. At some point everyone is an unknown, and when you're talking about players from overseas who play in the lower leagues its likely no one has heard of them before. Take Fonte for example, how many people would have been saying he'd be playing in the premiership when we got him on loan. I'd never heard of him before he was playing for us. When Derry and Hill left for QPR no one thought they'd be part of their premiership season, let alone become key first team players that season. Ambrose was a player who'd barely scored for Charlton, he moves two miles down the road, and scores more in seven games (almost) than he did in three seasons at the caravan club. Probably the only signing we've made in very recent years that felt like it was a 'steal or sure thing' was Moxey.
