Why are so many people bitter about a very talented lad who was very poorly advised all those years ago. Good luck John - hope Paulo sorts you out & you at last fulfill your potential.

I was at the Swindon match pre season talking to a friend of mine who is a sponsor at STFC. He had spoken to JB who expressed massive regret at what had happened. Got to agree with the others - I wish I had a bit of hindsight at 15yo!

Years of potential development wasted. His loss as much as ours. Still only 20, so could yet make it. Got to say it's time to move on. He was still a child and he made a poor choice. And he serves as a good example of what not to do for the current academy lads.

Ok, he lied to us all, paymaster, staff and supporters, saying 'I want to be the youngest Palace Captain ever, playing for the team I support, represent Palace in England shirt blah blah blah...'
And yes, he was young, but us Palace supporters are a loyal bunch, we've had to be, so when someone betrays this trust, in my eyes he deserves all he gets! But I also remember a certain Mr.Kuqi giving us all a one-fisted salute, but after swallowing his pride, training with the kids for weeks, he came back to regain everyone's adulation. Who's to say JB couldn't do the same? Unfortunately for him he seems to have too much pride to do that, which is surprising from someone who has such strong religious beliefs.

Looks like DiCanio has 2 of the world's worst professionals on his books!!

Agree 100% with your comments but would still like to see him back at CPFC with the people around him who can, once again, get the best out of him.
