I was at the Swindon match pre season talking to a friend of mine who is a sponsor at STFC. He had spoken to JB who expressed massive regret at what had happened. Got to agree with the others - I wish I had a bit of hindsight at 15yo!

Years of potential development wasted. His loss as much as ours. Still only 20, so could yet make it. Got to say it's time to move on. He was still a child and he made a poor choice. And he serves as a good example of what not to do for the current academy lads.

Ok, he lied to us all, paymaster, staff and supporters, saying 'I want to be the youngest Palace Captain ever, playing for the team I support, represent Palace in England shirt blah blah blah...' Looks like DiCanio has 2 of the world's worst professionals on his books!!
