Not the car, the cover. When I first heard this abominable version, it not only completely ruined what is a brilliant song by a brilliant band, but it actually put me off music for a while, it was that bad. Some of the comments below it sum my feelings up. It makes me want to gauge my own eyes out, then stuff them in my ears, so I never hear anything again on the off chance of that song ever being repeated in my presence. Even finding the link to that video and listening to the first second of it made me want to punch someone. Those people deserve to have their fists shoved up their arses to stop them even thinking of putting out new material. Any other examples of great music being completely and utterly ruined? Glee is a prime example, but I don't think my heart could take me going in to details.
If something can't be described in plain English, maybe you shouldn't base an entire society on it. Just saying. |
