Hi there, I'm from a Bolton Wanderers forum called Burnden Aces. We run a Q&A feature where we get the views of opposition fans ahead of games. If you would like to take part, just answer the questions below:
Palace finished 17th last season and were beaten semi-finalists in the League Cup. How do you think you will do this season? Wilfried Zaha was apparently close to making a move to the Reebok Stadium in January. Do you think he would have been a good player for us in the Premier League? Aside from Zaha, who is your most dangerous player? Do you think Bolton can gain promotion back to the Premier League at the first time of asking? Which Bolton player will Dougie Freedman be earmarking as a potential threat to the Palace goal? Finally, what do you think the final score will be at the Reebok on Saturday afternoon?

A season of change, for the better. Too good, will move to a better club, eventually for a deserved large fee and not the pawltry fee being banded about. We have 5 or 6 players for you to be worried about, Zaha may be the least of your problems. A chance but every game for you will be a cup final. Most teams that drop down usually have to sell players to survive. I'll say it'll be play offs, 4th or 5th for you. I expect him to be wary of your entire team seeing as though you've got basically the team that dropped out of the Prem. Unfortunately, 2-1 you. Good luck for the rest of the season, apart from the 2 games we play!!
When i see him, it's gonna be painful. Skinny little cont. |

Started bad but now much better. Better than last year There was more chance of the queen signing for Bolton in jan than Zaha. He will be a top premier league player, just not yet. Speroni No Honesty dot jar a clue who you have. Probably Eagles though. 1-1
For f*cks sake Murray!! Follow me on twitter @money4nuffin and same on ps3 (without the @ of course!) |

Crystal Palace currently occupy 15th place in the Championship. How has your season been so far? Improving since we actually got a decent centre back to cover Mccarthy. Not the greatest start but that means nothing at all, in good form at the moment and playing good football. Palace finished 17th last season and were beaten semi-finalists in the League Cup. How do you think you will do this season? 9th in the table. Wilfried Zaha was apparently close to making a move to the Reebok Stadium in January. Do you think he would have been a good player for us in the Premier League? Yes he would have been good and may have actually got some recognition on MOTD rather than being overlooked by the anti-palace football league show! Would definitely excite the crowd and get some assists in whatever league he played in. Aside from Zaha, who is your most dangerous player? Moritz/Bolasie/KG the goal machine Do you think Bolton can gain promotion back to the Premier League at the first time of asking? No think they will get knocked out in the play-offs. Which Bolton player will Dougie Freedman be earmarking as a potential threat to the Palace goal? Eagles he's a good player Finally, what do you think the final score will be at the Reebok on Saturday afternoon? 3-1 to Bolton, Bolasie screamer is imminent. As said before, best of luck this season except when you play us in our fixtures.

Crystal Palace currently occupy 15th place in the Championship. How has your season been so far? Bad start but turned it around in sensational style. We've gone from playing some of the worst football seen in the last 5/6 years to the best. Palace finished 17th last season and were beaten semi-finalists in the League Cup. How do you think you will do this season? I'd be disapointed if we finished 17th or below but happy with anything 16th or above, quietly confident we'll be around mid-table with perhaps a late push for playoffs Wilfried Zaha was apparently close to making a move to the Reebok Stadium in January. Do you think he would have been a good player for us in the Premier League? It's widely known he is one of the, if not the most talented player in the championship so I'm not meaning to be biased when I say he could walk in to most premiership teams and cause the opposition trouble. He can be selfish at times but he more than makes up for it by making even the best defenders look sub-standard. Aside from Zaha, who is your most dangerous player? That's a question we would of only been able to answer last season with Joniesta (Williams) really. Now we've got so much attacking threat it's scary. We've two quality wingers in Zaha and Bolaise, KG in CDM knocking them in for fun and Williams causing trouble like last season. We had a problem last season with every team having two or three players on Zaha, now if they do that they're in trouble as it just creates space for the other attacking players we've inherited (for very very little money by the way) Do you think Bolton can gain promotion back to the Premier League at the first time of asking? No, and that is no disrespect. It's such a tough league and momentum is usually on the ones who get promoted from league 1 and the usual 2 or 3 who are there or there abouts. I suspect you'll finish in the playoffs. Which Bolton player will Dougie Freedman be earmarking as a potential threat to the Palace goal? I couldn't tell you as I never really follow the premiership and haven't seen much of Bolton this season. Finally, what do you think the final score will be at the Reebok on Saturday afternoon? I predicted 1-4 on the Palace radio show on this website I produce but I think it'll be closer - I'd take a 1-1 draw if truth be told. Good luck mate, don't try and out sing our boys though as you'll fail

Poor at the start. much improved recently. Better than last year in the league, I don't expect anything from the cups. Of course Zaha would have been a good player for you but we should not sell him for less than £10M. Take your pick from 5 or 6. I'm not even sure Zaha is our most dangerous player! Probably not as although your attack and midfield look good your defence looks very average. Chris Eagles. but Mark Davies is a good player as are Davies and Sordell. 1-1 as you will still be celebrating your first away win and after all it's only Palace.

We will finish 5th and in the playoffs! Zaha would be an amazing addition to any team. I'm afraid he'll end up somewhere more prolific than Bolton though. Beware of Mortiz and Williams! I think you'll be in the play offs with us! I think it will be a 2-2 draw. Cheers!

I really don't think zaha was close to singing for Bolton... After you see him Saturday you'll see why he will go a lot a lot higher......

1) To quote a football cliche "a game of 2 halves". Pre season and first 3 games plus a disaster at Preston in the cup had many fans concerned that we would be doomed. But, the more patient fans and the chairmen backed Dougie, and with some great bargains in the transfer window, albeit rather late, we have turned it around and have become a very sound side. The difference to last year is that we tend to no longer keep clean sheets, mainly because our captain/centre half has been out injured, but we are now scoring in most matches too. We are also playing some neat fast football and our wingers are causing mayhem to most fullbacks they have come up against so far. 2)Top half as squad could struggle with a few key men out. If main players stay fit, and stay at the club after January, a very slim hope of the play offs. 3) No Zaha would not have suited you last year. He needs time to settle in, and I truly believe going to a club fighting relegation, would not have worked. 4) At the start of this season Speroni and Williams, but since the transfer window and a transformation of KG, we have half a dozen. Nuff said. 5) I think January could be an important time for you. Holding on to a few good players like Davis, Alonso and Eagles will help, but also this is a long tough league so maybe a few extra players could also be needed. There are alot of big clubs this year, spending money to get out of this division ao I think the play offs is your best hope. Don't sack Coyle too soon either as I think he is a good proven manager. 6)The 3 above are likely, although he is not they type of manager to man mark opposition players. He has belief in our team over worrying about the opposition players. One player I certainly would not worry about, is that very poor waste of money Ngog (I hope I don't eat my words after saturday) 7) I would not be surprised to see both sides scoring. 2-1 but not sure who too, although obviously I know who I want it to be! Best of luck for this year....just hope we do better as we are likely to be in the play offs or higher if we do !

How do you think you will do this season? Wilfried Zaha was apparently close to making a move to the Reebok Stadium in January. Do you think he would have been a good player for us in the Premier League? Aside from Zaha, who is your most dangerous player? Aaron Wilbraham. They don’t call him ‘Wilbrahimovic’ for no reason. Do you think Bolton can gain promotion back to the Premier League at the first time of asking? Which Bolton player will Dougie Freedman be earmarking as a potential threat to the Palace goal? Finally, what do you think the final score will be at the Reebok on Saturday afternoon? If we go up, I hope you come with us as I live up north and Bolton is a local-ish game for me, so all the best for the season ahead (after Saturday, anyway!).
