Ah, what memories. A bunch of us going to the ground straight from school, the crush of 51,000+. Knocking my glasses way up in the air when Walsh scored - and managing to catch up on the way down. Pitch invasion and lots of under age drinking afterwards. The best of times!

Ah, what memories. A bunch of us going to the ground straight from school, the crush of 51,000+. Knocking my glasses way up in the air when Walsh scored - and managing to catch up on the way down. Pitch invasion and lots of under age drinking afterwards. The best of times!

I was on the holmesdale at 6pmish, and still didnt get my regular spot, what a night.The arsenal man utd cup final the following day was just a blur. " I hate those f@cking northern monkeys " The late Lenny Mclaine.

goodness alone knows how there wasn't a Hillsborough style tragedy that night is beyond me, I was petrified. after 13 years in which Bernard Lerring had pulped over 4 thousand weasels he suffered a compound nervous breakdown. goodness alone knows how there wasn't a Hillsborough style tragedy that night is beyond me, I was petrified.

after 13 years in which Bernard Lerring had pulped over 4 thousand weasels he suffered a compound nervous breakdown.

Thanks Dan, It was rammed BL! Went with my brother and Dad but got split up on the Holmesdale Terrace. Drifted with the crowd in an amazing atmosphere
