Now I have never been one of DF could do no wrong camp. I questioned many aspects of his management style last season and the beginning of this. But for fans to chant "Dougie Freedman, what have you done" and some of te any Dougie rhetoric you could hear is a joke. Remember what this man has done for this club. I am not particularly bothere he's gone, but I'm not particularly bothered when ANYONE leaves. I won't be when Zaha goes, I wasn't when Moses went or Johnson. But remember Dougie did so much for us. He has an affection for us, and I'm sure to hear fans turning on him would break his heart. You don't give all those years to a club for nothing. He answered the calls when we needed him. He came to save the club with Hart and in run cut his own career short. Think about it before you start to sing anti freedman songs. Yes it hurts, yes it's a kick in the balls, but he's still a legend, he's still the man he was, he's just not ours anymore.
For f*cks sake Murray!! Follow me on twitter @money4nuffin and same on ps3 (without the @ of course!) |

Great post DF has left and its a shame but today proves no man is bigger than the club ! If on February 1st we still have Wilf and Delaney hopefully with someone like Billy Davies as manager I think we could be in with a shout for top 6 ! And for those that question Freedman's loyalty perhaps when Bolton come to Selhurst we can show how loyal we are and give him the reception he properly deserves and has earned in the last 10 years !

I agree not to make it too personal or abusive but personally I'm happy with a bit of banter and ribbing if our fortune continues and Bolton's don't. I don't agree with any abuse when he returns to SP. Maybe something telling him how sh1t Bolton are but DF came in with Paul Hart and then in the Summer of 2010 did loads behind the scenes. I got really frustrated with some of his holding back and his limitations, only for him to leave when a cash richer club came, even though it didn't have to be that way if he argued it enough. He went too early and said things for a while and 2 days before leaving that contradict what he ended up doing. For that he deserves some flack. That's football, but I wouldn't take it too far. He gave the trust money in admin I and did above the expected in the 2nd.

I'm sorry mate but you must be having a fvcking laugh. I won't sing anti-freedman songs but no way is he getting a good reception either. I backed him when things weren't going well and then as soon as they are he jumps ship to the first offer he gets. This does not earn a warm welcome for me.
Its time for a pep talk ! |

The Bolton fansite, commenting on their 2-1 loss to Middlesborough, is saying: Let's hope the new manager is a miracle worker. So far as we were concerned, Dougie could walk on water. Let's hope this time he falls in.

Very well written ! and now I have calmed down some what and still beleive something went on we have not been told, I agree.
"Palace have got the right colours to do what I believe football is all about," he said. "The strip's very similar to Barcelona and they represent what I'm trying to get to: possession, passing, attacking, defending off your attacking, fresh young footballers and creating your own style." |

DF was good at picking ONE system and getting the skillsets to fit that formation, somehow and at some point. He has not done enough in the game to be doing what he's assigned to do now and is making a mistake.

No need to abuse Freedman when Bolton come to town but how about a massive Holmesdale Fanatics banner saying something like LOYALTY IS OUR CREED or something similar to shame the man?

He talked a good talk and when you walk after doing that talk, and the walk contradicts the talk, it's inevitable it's going to p1ss a lot of people off. I hopr for his sake there's no version of Newshopper where he cannot help himself but comment in it every other day.
