Does anyone really think we're in the market for players like Beckham or either Cole? Anyone who thinks there is the slightest chance of us signing these kind of players is as deluded as the weed fan who started the thread on NSC saying they would give England a pasting if they ever played them.

Buckley only doesn't play for England because Woy thinks he'd show up Rooney, Gerrard etc with his amazing skills and destroy their confidence so much they'd never play football again. He's just too good for them you see, and Woy is just being kind to the rest of the players.

This post has been merged from a topic called 'Ashley Cole loan?' by Moose Wage would obviously be a problem for us but he isn't getting games and there is paper talk of him wanting or needing a loan move so he can get games before the world cup. He would want to stay in London, he wouldn't go to Arsenal or Tottenham and hardly think a chelsea player will be loaned to West Ham... he always said he wanted to come back...

This post has been merged from a topic called 'Ashley Cole loan?' by Moose Was reading about him in Metro this morning possibly wanting a loan move to secure regular football ahead of the World Cup and I did wonder whether he is still too big a scalp for us, given his age. I remember reading an interview with him a couple of years ago where he said very nice things about Palace and that it's the sort of club he would return to towards the end of his career.
