The bloke who lost out on £700 because of Real equalising should've covered it with draw or Real to win or cashed out as it's on Bet365. Madness. Laying Atletico on Betfair would've needed a fair bit of capital and punters to get £700.

Not really into betting decent money on the opening day of the Football League season but there are a couple I fancy. DERBY 8/13-4/7 v rotherham PRESTON 8/13 v notts county 8/5 double. You could add FOREST 1/3 v blackpool to make it a 5/2 treble. Last season the 1st few weeks were fortunate but I can't remember the very first. Best to not get too involved and observe, although not observe for long enough for form to dip.

Ah the betting thread has been resurrected ! Bit of guess work on the first day but I think Bournemouth will have a good season so I will back them and beef it up with Forest + Derby

After a long time of seeing Bet Victor giving best odds, I registered. Didn't previously as I didn't like the way they get their members to rollover or bet so many times before bonus kicks in or is withdrawable. Doesn't make any difference to me. I bet when I bet, but I don't like how they entice people to get fixed to it. It's now just a simple £25 matched bet. Will be interesting to see whether their odds stay as competitive. They all get their margins by offers here, cuts there.

Well done Derby in the end on 82. Covered the draw at 12/1 and the Rotherham win at 250/1. They had a good go on 93 mins. Well done Pussay picking out Bournemouth at Huddersfield. Just as Hfield were getting going, Bmouth got the 2nd and got booed off at HT.

There's some good bets this week. Some say avoid the League cup but you get alot of mismatches. Bournemouth again, should stroll it at Exeter. Exeter's home form last season was pathetic and Bournemouth just have way to much firepower. On the handicap -1 they are 7/4. Could throw in Brentford at Dagenham and Forest at Tranmere but I prefer not to do to many aways. So might play safe with Blackburn

I had Derby/Forest double too, easy money. Standout league cup bet for me is treble of Brighton, Sheffield United and Wolves. 2.4/1
