Dawn raids seem a bit OTT if true. However, the blokes in the front row of Block A/B are unnecessarily confrontational to the stewards. The wearing of black as a uniform is interesting and I can't help think they are playing on having some notoriety - with statements like this, having wording like 'lads', blacking out faces - and like the ultras in the Continent who are 'actual' hoolies. I think HF have a bit of an identity crisis on this front. I can understand if they are some kind of Palace Youth but I'm not sure that's the case as real mobs think they are a joke. Will be interesting to see how the group evolves but int he meantime, I'm enjoying the improvement to the atmosphere they bring.

Anyone who is behind palace, part timer, Nigel, HF, families etc should stick together. I'm a lawyer, not criminal, but know enough to know that there are occasions where there is gross overreaction from the police, but equally how hard it is to get warrants etc. It sounds to me like there is a mix of police being over the top as well as a lot more to it in terms of the raids. Police don't understand the law all too often, anyone wanting informal help can PM me. But this is something that needs to be pursued by individuals involved otherwise we are speculating on half the story which never helps. Roll on tomorrow

I can never understand the bunch of kids thing?? Anyway back on topic, Good to see the Chairman have read the statement and looks like they are helping those involved.
If something can't be described in plain English, maybe you shouldn't base an entire society on it. Just saying. |

Lets face it football suppoters are an easy target for the police these days. They get shown the race card any time they mess with the ethnic minority. They are closly monitered by human rights organisations. But football fans are fair game. I've seen some heavy handed policing at many grounds over the years.

If it comes down to the HF's or 2010's version of events, I know who I'm going to believe: a group of successful businessmen who've stumped up a lot of their own cash to support the club or a bunch of kids who make a bit of noise and choose to conceal their identity and generally act like they're 'ard. As KBLF said earlier, magistrates' warrants aren't dished out lightly and all this self-righteous 'we're being victimised' crap just doesn't ring true. A quick gander at the abuse Steve Parrish has been getting on Twitter from the HF and their sympathisers just makes me all the more certain who I'm going to believe. Well said that man.

The quicker the HF are quashed, the better.
Maybe you need to get yourself a ra-ra skirt and some pom poms and become the first HF Crystal if your such a big fan of them. Plank. Maybe you need to go grab a prawn sandwich and start watching games in the Emirates. The weekend atmosphere home and away would be nothing without the efforts of the HF and I guarantee more people agree with me than agree with you. If you've a problem with them go down the front of Block B I'm sure they'd love the feedback.

I'm neither pro or against these hf, to me they're just palace fans like the rest of us.

I have never been bothered by the police in 50 years of supporting Palace because I don't go round trying to p!ss people off. Stop acting like spoilt children. An even better post......

i guess we all have our different theories for what is acceptable in terms of showing our support to the club - i remember with fondness the days of getting bladdered before the game, leaping around like a looney, losing my voice due to over-enthusiastic singing and the routine dodgy curry in thornten heath - and now i'm getting on a bit i take my son and behave rather decently. i like the HF and the atmosphere they bring to the games and it's sad to hear some lads are being rudely awoken for petty bollocks. let's try to remember that we all turn up because we share a passion for palace, not so we can slag each other off
