Some posters have been a bit OTT though.

I think the issue is that like any social media network you get some contributors who merely feel it necessary to be insulting and feel some sort of great achievement from doing that! On here I have found some very insightful, funny and intelligent contributors who appreciate a bit of banter! Alternatively, I have also found individuals who have nothing more to say than offensive and threatening posts! I think that's a cover up for their lack of self worth and/or knowledge. At first I try to communicate, but then I don't waste my time. I have been watching and loving football for 40 odd years (and there have been some odd experiences!!). The rivalry and passion of fans in this country (when that rivalry is good hearted) is what makes English football so great and part of why we love it. My advice on this thread: 1/ Give me stick- but avoid childish threatening insults (they really have no effect) 2/ Take the stick I'll give back in the 'friendly banter' way its meant 3/ Don't take yourself or this thread too seriously!
