Agreed - how people can knock Gayle despite the fact he's been our top goalscorer for both seasons he's been at the club with little game time, being played out of position quite often, and having to adapt to such rapid change in his life is just beyond me.

At 15 mill no way! half of that and reasonable as he will want big wages.

I'd pay 10m, 11m at a stretch.. I think he would be excellent for whoever he signs for. May seem like alot but I would sign him. I just think he would fit in with Palace nicely. I also think that he and Gayle could be a good fit and If we are going to keep Gayle, then it would be a good signing.

But I would be no less happy if we signed Remy or Ba as they are 2 proven goal scorers. Strangely I think we could get them cheaper but I would still sign Rhodes.

Not worth a second look, not what we need plus we have better already at the club. We need to spend our money carefully not waste it.

I'd want him on loan for half a season first at that price. Its a lot for a player who's shyed away from opportunities to play at this level.

I agree, Rhodes may not offer as much as a Remy or Austin, but is one of the best pure finishers I've ever seen (admittedly not a lot). We could do a lot worse than adding Rhodes.
