If we are going for Rhodes it will surely involve players going in the opposite direction, Campana, Dobbie, Kg, O'Keefe, Bannan, Moxey, Garvan, Wilbs, Grandin. Could be any of this lot.

£11.5 million for both would make sense and we may be able to offload or loan a couple. If we got these 2 in then bar maybe getting one more addition, no-one could say we aren't serious about staying up and it will give us a head start in the summer and be well worth the money if we stay up...and there's 4 years at 15 million a season parachute payments if we don't, which I think a lot of people seem to be forgetting...so we do have the scope to gamble a bit. Do deals now and not after playing our rivals in the bottom half of the table. There's no point scrabbling about come the end of the month. We have to beat the likes of West Ham etc. to getting the right players in. These 2 are a pretty safe bet.

In fact Dann scored Blackburns goal if I remember correctly.

Rhodes has not played in the FA Cup this season. He was an unused sub in the home game against Man City and not in the squad for the replay.

Does it really matter if he has played in the FA Cup or not? It's the Premier League that is most important and he can play in that, however it pains me that this move will never happen unless we establish ourselves this season and buy him in the summer. More worried that we are linked with Leon Best.

That is not what he said, he said "he and Dann never played in the FA cup against Man City", where as in fact Rhodes came on for Gestede on 81mins, and Dann played the whole game.

Rhodes will be off to West Brom or Everton, both are looking for strikers having sold one each to Hull. They will use the money from those deals to finance a move for Rhodes. We probably never even had him on our radar. I can believe the Best link though, yet another shot shy forward who is exactly the same as Jerome but not as quick. He will do nothing to solve our scoring problems but the attraction to him will be that he will be cheap. It would be an underwhelming signing to put it mildly.
