We are not yet in a position where we can/will spend �8-10m on a player, perhaps if we can stay in the Premier League for a couple of seasons that may well change. �10m for one player is a lot of money especially one that is unproved at Premier League level, and has not exactly proved himself at International level either.

�10m for one player is a lot of money especially one that is unproved at Premier League level, and has not exactly proved himself at International level either.

Asking too much of Murray to come back from injury and be the instant solution

If we get Scott Dann as part of the deal, then that's OK maybe. However, we need a striker in who can actually score goals! Asking too much of Murray to come back from injury and be the instant solution

That is not what he said, he said "he and Dann never played in the FA cup against Man City", where as in fact Rhodes came on for Gestede on 81mins, and Dann played the whole game. I know thats not what he said, that why I started with 'He means...'. We do not have premier league facilities or pay structures or future (in all but the eyes of some Palace fans). Possibly Pulis knows too well that the knack to staying up seems to be not conceding rather than than outscoring. The abiding results of Stoke's recent survivals possibly need review. There was an article on the Holmesdale highlighting that those relegated from the PL in recent years failed to survive because they shipped too many goals, but not because they hadn't scored enough. Seems obvious, but it does correlate. Yes, Best would be underwhelming. It is likely, but we'll never know. Possibly Pulis knows too well that the knack to staying up seems to be not conceding rather than than outscoring. There seams to be a lot of difference between what we as supporters are being told and what is happening at the club in practice.I get the feeling the General has f@cked off from the battlefield and left his captains in charge with no ammunition.
