Championship striker among four players lined up by Palace Selhurst Park is expected to be a hive of transfer activity on transfer deadline day with Crystal Palace manager Tony Pulis chasing at least four signatures. At the time of writing the Eagles are locked in talks with Celtic defender Joe Ledley, Blackpool forward Tom Ince and Blackburn defender Scott Dann. However, while all three of these signings would provide the south London club with a welcome boost to their Premier League survival – something priced at 3/4 with Ladbrokes – Pulis is in desperate need of a striker and could be prepared to make a double swoop on Rovers with a bid for striker Jordan Rhodes. With just 15 league goals this season Palace are the division’s lowest scorers while Rhodes continuing to stand out in the Championship, despite the Ewood Park outfit trailing the league leaders by a whopping 24 points. The 23-year-old is destined to play in the top flight, having smashed an incredible number of goals outside the Premier League and Pulis’ desire to maintain his reputation for securing top division football could see a last minute attempt on his signature. Rhodes hit 87 goals in 148 games for Huddersfield before being bought by Rovers and despite his 42 goals in 77 games the club’s promotion chances look slim. Rhodes is in fine form, having scored 16 goals in his 28 Championship outings this term, and with Cameron Jerome and Marouane Chamakh woefully short of goals a move for the Scotland international makes perfect sense. Rovers manager Gary Bowyer will be keen to keep hold of his prized forward but with Palace 14/1 outsiders for this weekend’s game against Arsenal Pulis could up the ante to boost his forward line in time for the trip to the Emirates.

Why would anyone chose to be a Seagull? The Eagle is a far superior creature. The Seagull lives under it's damp pier meekly looking out, blinded by the sheer quality of the Eagle's palace. |

This post has been merged from a topic called 'Jordan Rhodes + Ayite.' by Moose I think we should take a punt and offer the asking price between 8-12 mil, just a though but all we have is gayle at the minute which doesn't mean its a bad thing albie left and we still haven't seen Murray kick his stuff in the PL yet. Plus if you take a look in the papers and on here we were thinking about offering 8mil on some unheard of african midfielder just because they were going to the wrld cup not to sherk at it before time calls of course, and we do need wingers so if thats Ayite then fine because tom ince is dragging his heels again. Thoughts anybody?? just your thoughts on this and where a winger might come from and whom he will be to your mind??
