A player is only worth what a buying club is willing to pay for him. Adam Lallana's contract wasn't worth anywhere near £25m, but Liverpool had to pay over the odds to get their man. Same with Bale. He was brought for £80.5m but there was no way his 'wage' was £20m a year!!

Possibly going to Hull for 12m. Got to hand it to Bruce if this happens. Swapping Shane Long for Rhodes and coming out even would be excellent business.

We have recently received two official bids for the services of Jordan Rhodes from Hull City FC, both have been respectfully and categorically rejected. The owners of Blackburn Rovers wish to reassure fans that their intention is not to sell Jordan Rhodes as they, along with the manager and board of directors, feel that he is integral to our bid to gain promotion back to the Premier League.

I think he is in the same bracket ability wise has Ings,Austin but we could get him cheaper and without to much competition.
