I'm dead slow. I didn't realise we could post on the Gold Talk threads!

Bexter & Islington Eagle, I didn't make the Rollercoaster gig but I managed to see My Bloody Valentine about four times in my youth.
Easily the best one (and in my top 10 for gigs) was in a small boozer (the Fulham Greyhound if memory serves) about 10 mins walk from Hammersmith Apollo in front of about 200.

that's too hard! there's been so many....... and i keep thinking of new ones! i loved them all when i was a teen and big into the indie scene - the soup dragons at town and country club, the mightly lemon drops at camden falcon.... but i have to say, the polyphonic spree at the astoria probably gave me the biggest smile!

Bexter, I'm sure you make them up as you go.

My favourite gig is the Smudgy Terrapins at the Colby Arms in 79!

Brian Wilson just last month at the Royal Festival Hall in London. My Dad forced me to skip lectures to come back down and see it, and I'm very glad I did.

And a close second would be Porthole in Chislehurst a couple of years ago and the frantic moshing to the JJ Song. Superb.

Ask me about Ronald de Boer.

In date order mine are :

Thunder - Shep Bush 1998 ( the show just rocked and loads of Palace players at the time were fans and went along ) Carlo, Roberts, Herrman, Edworthy etc......

Robbie Williams - Wembley arena 1999
( the I've been expecting you tour - his best album ) his new stuff is going right down hill for me !!!

Train - Shep Bush 2001 ( first time I saw them and been to see every uk gig since )

Nickelback - Astoria 2002 ( their first uk gig ever and it rocked )

The Darkness - Sydney 2004 ( only 500 tickets and it was great to see them somewhere their not big )

Weller at Shephards Bush the other year - Cancer thing I think! Seen him loads but this really stood out for me.
Weller (acoustic) at RAH - played a trubute to George Harrison at the end. Just splendid!
Four Tops at RAH - only two of the originals left but what a class act!
Michael Jackson - step dad was a tout and got me tkts for the Bad tour back in the 80's. Never a fan but what a great show
Radiohead - glasto last year. Never been a fan but they were pretty impressive.
Femi Kuti - at the Ocean. Quality afro tech beats if you like that sort of thing.
