RIght the reason he is worth 8 million is this, When he signed for not a lot he had written in his contract that if he is sold he will personally pocket 8 million (i think its soothing to do with his contract length x wages etc)

Just a thought. How would Gomis fit in with the squad if they know he has just trousered £8m if he signs for CPFC? Not sure that would go down to well. I am sure AP and SP have thought this through too. I for one, don't think we'll sign him.

You can not judge how a player will fair, he will either be a success or he won't only time will tell, and the French League is not that bad, and he played for two of the better clubs in Saint-Étienne and Lyon, so 1 goal in 2 games is good by any standards.

West Ham have met the £8m asking price apparently. I thought he was s*** personally... This might open the door for Andy Carroll. He has been in top form recently and I personally would like to see him at palace.

I hope this is the end of our interest in Gomis. When the story first broke about us being interested it seemed a positive move. However, after seeing more of him (since Bony left) he does not look like what we need. Certainly not worth anything in the region of £8mill!

His agent has linked to gomis to a number of clubs. In the end he probably get a bumper pay deal where at swansea or elsewhere.
