i have to admit that i was not a fan but he his changed my mind i have allways thought he was good on the ball but his work rate when first here did not seem to be up to standerd maybee it was just a fitness thing

anyway does anyone know what sort of contract he has at southampton ? i f we was to get ince/zaha/buckly whould you drop punch for these are would you leave yannick out? i could not see us playing him in any other postion giving the way we like to play at the moment

for me wwe should be getting a young quick player that is happy to play a bit part as sub etc and stick with yannick and punch on the wings

I was saying last night, he would probably be more suited to a central role... hell given our strikers he is probably our best strikers option. But he could also prob play chamakh role.

At the end of the day the prem is all about having a good squad so would be a great headache to have if we got another winger in.

He won't be dropped, put it that way. He scores winners, he has the ball for long enough for people to provide support, us to push up, get shape and pick up again.

He's always had ability, I just think he's one of those players who relies more than others on the team doing well for him to do well. Confidence player. Can look like he's carrying the world on his shoulders and a bit depressed at times.

I think it was the Swansea game when he frustrated everyone by being toilet. The thing was he knew it was a lost cause and gave himself a free role. I'm not condoning it but I can understand how it happened. 4 brand new players, no cohesion or continuity. There's no more of that now he and everyone else know their roles.

It will be at least £25k, unsure if there's a relegation clause in it but you wouldn't worry about that with Southampton. So that's the deal maker or breaker I would've thought. With TP hopefully it'll ease those concerns.

He isn't suited to being the man up top. The way we are we need someone with physical presence and pace when going towards their goal and chasing down defenders.

Puncheon has to be the first name on the team sheet at this present time. Who else has scored a goal recently except Wilbraham who will not be in the 25.

i agree that he would prob be best as a attack center mid or just of the striker we could go to a 4 .5.1 formation with him in advance midfield pos..and have chamcak up front but i think that chamack does not have the pace to be a lone front man and he seems a lot better when his back is not to goal

We ain't going to get Ince or Zaha I am afraid but if we got Buckley, judging on Puncheon's recent performances I'd keep Punch in first team. Very much a confidence player and needs to stop blowing hot and cold, i'd attribute the hot and cold thing to confidence as long as we keep him confident he should be alright. Love the fact that he tracks back now and helps out in defence, he actually looks like he cares which was a far-cry previously. Well done Punch, keep it up!!
