Just revealed on SSN that J Campana has gone on loan to Hoffenheim till the end of the season. Now with Hoffenheim left back Fabian Johnson being rumoured with us, is it just a coincidence here or is there possibly a loan plus monies for a transfer? Would be a good deal in my eyes as F Johnson is a very good defender and would definitely make our starting 11 and Campana has not proved he is a Premiership player yet in his limited appearances so far.

Campana has not proved he is a Premiership player yet in his limited appearances so far.

Neither did anyone else under Ian Holloway and it was only after he left that the players started to improve but Campana never played under Millen or Pulis.

We all hoped that he would be loaned to a Championship club so that he could get used to English footie

I really hoped Campana had worked out but Millen and Pulis haven't seen enough in training to warrant giving him a game and even in The FA Cup he has been an unused sub so I would say his days could well be numbered !

Perhaps the problems he was reported to have had with his attitude could have re surfaced (just a guess no evidence)

Hoffenheim arent having a great season but still feel this could be a great move for him. Gylfi Sigurdsson moved to Hoffenheim and had a star season there before becoming a 10million pound signing for spurs.

Good place to develop in my eyes and whilst their midfield is relatively competitive he should have a shot at getting a place too.

Hopefully he will get some full games, which will give someone from Palace the opportunity to see him play?

Except they dont speak English in Germany. I feel a Championship club would have been the best move or League 1, team like Brentford, Crawley or Leyton Orient.

I think Campana will develop better playing against teams like Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund than Tranmere and Shrewsbury.

Think this is a great move for Campana who has a chance to show his potential now, and either come back to us a PL-quality player at the end of the season or be ready to be moved on for a decent fee.

The Germans speak better English than most English people do.

Wife beating may be socially acceptable in Sheffield, but it is a different matter in Cheltenham
