There are not many players around of his quality for under £2 million.

I also thought its a long deal but the deal has been held up for whatever reasons and been dragging on since the window opened and maybe it was because Puncheon wanted a long deal and seeing as we needed to free a loan place for Ince which has now taken another twist but we had to agree to a decent length contract to get that loan space opened up.

Whatever the reason it's a great signing for us.

Puncheon should be on form enough for another 4 years, provided there's no serious injuries in that time. He's only 27!

Can he play on Sunday as he was signed after 12pm? Or is he okay as he was already registered at the club?

Someone posted earlier that the 12 o'clock deadline doesn't apply today, as it is the close of all transfers at 11 o'clock tonight.
