This doesn't have anything to do with the street choir known as 'the ultras' does it ?

No, more a mob of 35-50 year olds wanting to fight anyone. no need to blame the HF ffs.

Wouldn't be the first time they've tried to act the big men though would it?
Can't blame people for making the connection

HF were 1st class toay, f off and leave them alone

Ha ha, run along little one. I'm entitled to my opinion and have accused no one of anything (if you can read) .
They do a lot for the atmosphere at games. They do not have a monopoly on supporting Palace. Nobody does. So pick your toys back up and put em back in the pram.

No...but you're guilty of lazy supposition which is just as bad. You and redpalace are simply waiting for a hint of a connection to say 'told you so' whilst in the meantime are both sniffing round for an excuse rather like dogs round a bitch on heat. Sad

The Good, Fantastic support from our travelling support.
The Bad, Piss poor arsenal support.
The ugly, horrible muggy Palace fans kicking off at Highbury station. I have seen lots of trouble over the years at footie and it was all part of the experience but the t***s that are following our club that want to attack Arsenal fans that have kids with them can fcuk right off. Not isolated there was a mob of at least 25 palace that wanted to fight anyone that supported Arsenal. wrongeuns.

It's great to hear about a great atmosphere created by our fans only to be let down by a small minority. We as a collective need self regulate the minority who want to cause trouble and ruin our reputation.

This may mean approaching said minority on the spot as hard as it may be and tell them to pull their heads in. In some cases I accept that they may be drunk and don't give a shiv so it's not easy. It is easy to bring it to the attention on here after the fact and criticise (no offence to original poster) but we need to step up and ensure these types of incident don't occur in the first place.

Just my thoughts.

Really easy to suggest this and to some extent I agree (for example the story of a pair of idiots at Wembley spoiling people's days by swearing and being racist), but in the situation the OP is talking about that's just not a good idea.

Can you honestly say you would go up to a large group of blokes looking for a fight and ask them to "wind their necks in"? I think it could end very badly if you or anyone else tried to be brave in this situation.

I don't often post but go to a lot of away games and am a ST holder at home.

Yesterdays game was a odd one, the atmosphere was very good but seemed to be a lot of drunk fans there all acting a bit silly during the game in block 20, I didnt see any trouble but left quickly at the end as had my 11yr old brother with me and thought there could be, so I met a mate who is an arsenal ST holder and walked away with him.

Before the game there was a large group dressed in black chanting and being marched over the bridge towards the clock tower end by the Police (I don't know if this was the HF or not) but I was just going through the search area and it kicked off with the police for a brief moment so there was trouble before hand which was very disappointing as there is usually none not even Brighton away last season. It has me debating whether or not to go to certain other away games this season especially west ham which is a shame. I think this unfortunately could be the new fans we are attracting and who buy tickets through the touts etc

Sad to hear that, hopefully you and your little brother wont be put off going to more games. I think the 4pm Sunday kick off time maybe made a difference with the extra time in the pubs before hand.

I doubt the group you saw kicking off with the police were the same lot as those at the station, unless the lads dressed all in black were 35-50 year olds as the OP witnessed?

Why would it? Have you got something to say? Spit it out rather than make snide bitchy remarks.

I tell you what was disgusting, a drunk man weeing down the stairs in block 20. What kind of vile animals follow us?!

I did think that was a bit of a piss take.

I know when you need to go you need to go. But come on! There were children around! And what about the people in front that were sprayed by him?! Animal!

Fully agree, toilets just behind us too, was a lot of drunk fans today but no excuse for that.

Yeah and I was one of them, most drunk palace fans know how to behave you are always going to get one idiot.

Would like to point out that the blokes I witnessed were nothing to do with the HF, They were regular fans that I have seen at lots of away games and very much older than the HF. Why people try and accuse the HF for every incident at games is beyond me and some people have an agenda against them.

HF05 aren't thugs. They are passionate supporters of the Red and Blue.

The "chavy" element of trouble makers, harks back to a darker era of the "Dirty Thirty".

If anything the HF05 are the antithesis of such thuggery, but they get painted with the same brush.

Keep up the good work HF05. You help us show the PL what support should look like.

COYP.

Exactly..

I couldn't tell you to be honest just all seemed in black and dark clothing there were police and horses there and it was a good 25m from me so couldn't see faces hair colour. Also I am not saying because they were in black they were the HF, it would seem odd if it was as the section of crowd they were in was smaller than group that was marched I quite like the HF and the athmosphere they help generate and could not even of been them but we are starting to get a certain type of fan now that is worrying

It won't stop me going to most games but certainly will think about a few, I'm in my 20's so am not as worried for me but it's little brother I am careful of, even down to yesterday usually you can easily squeeze past people single file with him holding my coat etc but yesterday that was just a nightmare to. maybe your right the extra hour in the pubs and people thinking oh its arsenal lets start early etc etc plus its not a game you have to think about travel too hard like stoke etc and were a lot of faces I hadn't seen at games previously when usually you can recognise 60% of the people who go most away games

Never and will never understand why idiots want to fight over a club?

Also these so called "men" should have more respect when there are kids around.

At the end of the day it's just 22 men kicking a ball around.

There was a bit of aggro beforehand. The HF were ahead of me walking over the bridge. The police saw (and heard) them approaching so called for extra police to run up and walk beside them and an extra 4 horses raced past. The police basically wanted them in the stadium as soon as possible saying "if you've got tickets, please enter the stadium" and maneuvered the horses a little too violently towards them in order to shuffle the fans towards the turnstiles. Some reacted angrily to the police 'forcing' them to enter the stadium, a couple of punches were thrown and some goading occured, but not much more than that really.
