Sam Wood was playing for Bromley before Brentford signed him up - He was at Brentford at the same time as Jordan Rhodes who was on loan from Ipswich.Manager Andy Scott took Rhodes to Brentford.

Taken at St Andrews International Festival must be 14 years ago now. Scruffy looking bunch but a few familiar faces there. Chris Eagles back row 2nd in from left others in the picture went on to have short pro careers at various clubs My Son?? hes there but he wont thaank me for this picture ha ha

Yes one of the same (Sam Wood ). When he was that age in the picture we called him Sammy. I went to school with Sam and played with him at long lane FC. He is a great player. Good left foot. He had trials at palace as well
