He took it really well. I was worried because he had got wound up beforehand when a West Brom player dug up the foothold behind the penalty spot with his boot. Cham was incensed and complained to the ref. I was afraid Cham had lost it but his pen was super-cool, and gave us a better 20 mins to the close.

I haven't seen any replays of it but it looked a pen to me. Cham moved the ball away from him and the keeper connected with decent force on his ankles. Whether the keeper took the ball or not isn't an excuse if you take the player 1st. The player has been taken out of the game. You could make tackles all day long if you were able to take man before ball, which you were allowed to do in the '80s but not anymore.

However, Chamakh wanted the pen and was happy to take the clash. The keeper ran out 18 yards to do that without thinking that's the usual drill. His fault.

Gotta say I was screaming for Pullis to brim FFS on to take it and score with his first touch back!

He won the ball, created the chance, won the penalty, ignored the pressure and the provocation and won the game with a coolly taken kick....one word...CLASS

Just noticed he needs just two more goals to equal his Arsenal record.

Does the return of FFS spell the end for Cameron Jerome?

I thought it was a wonderfully struck penalty. Absolute perfection. World class.

I bloody hope so! Cam Jam is he worst player we've had at this club in a long time: doesn't work, can't shoot, bad touch on him, puts no effort in the quicker he goes back to stoke the better

Would think so, cannot see him getting games with Ince and Murray playing.

I ask the question and I believe the answer is yes, but no one can ever question his workrate and effort. His hold up play is either excellent or incredibly poor and that all or nothing habit is not good for him or the team, but the bottom line is he is never a goal threat.

Muzza is nowhere near 90 min fit, and Jerome is also a option to have on the bench especially to help see out a last 15 min of a one nil win. Don't think it's the end yet, and who knows how muzza will adapt, he could even pick up another niggle.
