Would Chris Coleman have done any better?

Is that a serious question? If it is, the answer's a very definite don't be stupid.

Must admit I wasnt very pro Pulis but wasnt very anti either but I had dreams of Karanka coming here and turning us into the next Barcelona whether we had to go down to do it or stay up

Of the Britich pack - Pulis was far and away the only sensible choice if we had any ambition to stay up or at least give it a go, regardless of his style (which the PL critics had obvioulsy exagerated in terms of its agricultural style)...What Pulis does is incrediby simple and is in essence about minimising the risk of getting beaten

Alex McCleish ?
Chris Coleman ?

We would have been down by now

admittedly we have made a few mistakes this season but if we do go down, and I'd say that's a big IF, you can't say we didn't give it a bloody good go.

To be fair, this was one hell of a learning curve and was never going to be easy. Whichever position between 10th and 20th we finish, I think we've done really well just to be competitive. We've not had a period of consolidation. Cardiff spent years building for their promotion. Whereas for us it's been years of over-achievement and constantly playing catch-up with those with greater resources. We've definitely strolled in and surprised a few. What we're due is a shock result against one of the big boys.

This crossed my mind the other day. I think TP has got the defence to be much more resilient, so I dont think we're likely to see a 9-0, or 6-1, but don't hold me to that. Anything can happen on the day.
