As has been stated, we went top for the one and only time after beating Ipswich 4-1 in 1979. The closest we've come to repeating that was in 1990 when a win at home to Forest would've landed us top. We drew 2-2. 'Better stop dreaming of the quiet life 'cos it's the one we'll never know'
