Lived through his whole tenure and I know some will find this unpalatable, but a Palace legend no doubt in my mind. This interview with Ron from 2005 is worth a listen whether you want to believe what he says or not. 'Better stop dreaming of the quiet life 'cos it's the one we'll never know'

He was investigated by the DTI and the Revenue over the sale of our training ground and the construction of a golf course. No charges were laid at the time as there was "not enough evidence to support a proscution ". He did some good things for the club, he also did some bad things, blew the chance of making us a big club by not investing when we finished third, but did support the Coppell era. One thing about Ron, his reign could not be discribed as dull.

A serious allegation and I have NO idea if this is accurate or just some Anti-Noades scurrilous accusations.
All I will say is that I certainly don't recall CPFC going into Administration whilst he was at the helm and of course he did take over the club when it was at rock-bottom financially.

As I mentioned earlier Noades certainly divides opinions amongst our supporters !
