Everton will hopefully be tired and bruised for us

Everton got a win this weekend and are still in with a chance in the FA cup. Any thoughts on the date of the re-match and the likelihood of it happening when Everton still have FA cup commitments ?

The club have said it will be announced sometime this week, but I am expecting around the second week of March.

Sorry to see Lee Hills go, did we ever see Alex Marrow? We did January 2013

Let's hope they win the next round in the cup, hopefully they'll be really knackered!

They've got to re-schedule their Newcastle match too now, as that was set for the next FA Cup weekend.

Hope they get through to the final, so the extra fixtures keep piling up and their priorities shift away from our match!

How many times have we heard this before? It never works. Remember how tired Swansea were supposed to be after beating Valencia away? If Everton weren't playing the match, they would be hard training. And they have decent depth and breadth to cope with the odd knock. It is going to be one of the toughest games we will play this season. Their games in the cup will have little or no relevance.

Any Top 9 side is tough for us this season. One point so far and lots of games against Top 9 sides to come. No favours for us at Goodison. We have to focus on what we do best.

I understand exactly what you are saying but it is not necessarily the case. If their league form continues to falter and they are out of the race for the top four completely then their emphasis will switch to the FA Cup.

The above means they will be more likely to rest players for a forthcoming cup game. In addition those that do play will be wary not to get injured.

No way does this mean we will have an easy ride up at Goodison but there may just be a few things that tilt the game our way - albeit ever so slightly.

I thought the same, we had an advantage when we played Swansea.

Hopefully this time it will work in out favour as Swansea are playing Napoli away in the 2nd leg the Thursday before they play us on the Sunday.

As far as Everton are concerned there is a lot of space to fit in ourselves and Newcastle as there other fixtures are all at the W/E unless they get through to the semis when they are down to play Sunderland away.

if Spurs win the next league game and Everton lose theirs, there will be a yawning gap between the two teams. That would mean Everton giving up on position in the premier league table and focussing their best resources on the FA cup.

A big result for Euro qualification will be the League Cup Final on the 2nd March because if Man City win there will be an extra league position to qualify for the Europa League then going down to 6th. Even of course 7th depending on the FA Cup.

Where do you lot think you are ? You're having a reasoned and interesting exchange of views with room for others peoples opinions and haven't even bothered to insult each other or slag off their views without any evidence to back it up.

You should address this immediately or risk being carded I reckon.

Shocking behaviour for the HOL. I am appalled.
