Seeing the ease with which JW has stepped up to the Prem, it strikes me he must be up there with our best RBs of the past few decades. I'd have him up there with John Humphrey...probably better than cult favourite Pemberton and Marc Edworthy. Any thoughts?

Both different players but best right back since Nathaniel clyne in my opinion: don't have to look back so far

Clyne was so good in his last season for us, consistently our best player week in week out.

Does anyone else remember John Sewell? He was making errors towards the end but at his peak he was sound. Otherwise I would go along with Humphrey and Clyne as possibly being ahead of Ward at the moment.

Before he got his bad injury (which ruled him out of our 2004/2005 Prem season), I thought Danny Butterfield was superb at right back.

Clyne was and is better than Ward IMO. He's turned out to be an excellent replacement nevertheless.
