Surely only if someone repeats it with the intention of showing they believe the same...If you're simply reporting what someone else has said I can't see that as being libelous, it's a statement of fact, the truth.

Puncheon. might have a case to answer but he's got one too. Warnock brought his name into disrepute by saying he wouldn't trust him in a million years to take a penalty. He reacted to that as anyone would but got his response wrong. However, he was quite clearly provoked by Warnock who started it.
