Of course he is amazing, not because he does anything but because he is Spanish.....Pablo Conuago anyone

You don't give up do you? Same comments on every thread there's ever been about Campana. Could it be that we signed him as he is their national U21 captain?

u20 actually, look like any other palace fan I wanted him to do well and I was excited about him, however whenever I saw him he looked to light weight, slow, disinterested unless he had the ball. He did not look like he suited English football. A loan in England would have been better I think. He is a luxery we cant afford at this point. Anyway I am not having it that Campana is better then Ledley, Bannan, Jonny, Jedi and KG. For all of KG's faults when he has a good game he is one of the best players on the pitch.

The bold! However, I think in years to come, he could be the one that got away! Don't be surprised to see him playing in the champions league and world cups in the future.

Ok slate away lol

Ha no I wont. I don't reckon he will to be honest. But I dont know, he might go on to be a world class player but that does not mean he would of been at any point for us. He has ability but some people cant play in certain leagues. Plenty of World class players from abroad come to the premier league and are terrible. Does that make them bad players? Of course not, some players just cant adapt, the best way for them to adapt is to keep playing them however we have not got that luxury this year. If we was in the Championship we probably would. It goes for academy players to. Our 2 hottest prospects, Boateng and KaiKai cant even get into a midtable league 1 side with nothing to lose. I don't get this argument that Pulis has an agenda against him either as Millen didn't have him on the bench either. All in all he might go onto be great but in all honesty I don't think he was all that and we was blinded by youtube highlights and the fact he was involved in the best national teams u20 side which is nothing really. A lad across the road played for England u20's he now plays for Luton Town.

lol long post! i'll try to keep on topic or the wanna be mods will be out in force. Agree with most, world class players have found it hard to fit in to the top 5 teams let alone us struggling, fighting to stay up!

I'm sure some top managers have regrets of players they let go in the past. For me, we have a few that look/looked quality! Williams/Bannan/Campana/Chamakh to name a few.

With the exception of Chamakh who pulis does play, the rest don't get a look in, but that is why Pulis has been put in charge and not me i spose.

TBF I think Williams is in Pulis plans he goes to the media to hype him up and offers him a long term deal. I rate Bannan to but he had a stinker one game and Pulis took him off and Bannan had a mini temper tantrum that would probably explain his long term absence. He came on against Newcastle and looked completely off the pace. Campana we already discussed. Chamakh is genuinely on another level to all the players mentioned all day long. Best technical player I have seen at Selhurst since Lombardo IMO. That is a pretty serious comparison to as I didn't think anything would come close to Lombardo until a very nice Oil Baron from Saudi Arabia comes along

Ha ha i'll take an oil barons dollar as long as we don't sell our soul. Yeah Chamakh is quality! we have missed him last couple of games.

Whatever we may think of the "elite", Arsene doesn't sign poor players. He was our best signing all season and the sooner he's back the better! I hope we can keep him next season!

I think Campana will be good and it would have made more sense to loan him out to an English team so he can get use to the physical game.

Sometimes we expect too much of players and just because people build him to be the next best thing doesn't mean he will.

This is what I have been trying to say for while. Either way he was not a patch on Moritz

I dont really get people complaining about players we have signed that havnt quite worked out. What do people expect? We are a small club with limited resources trying to compete with the worlds footballing elite. Proven prem quality players cost too much.... so we have to grow our own and/or take a punt on players and hope we discover a hidden gem or two.

We need to give Campana time as he only played six games for us!!

I hope this guy comes good, but I think he will be sold and another pointless signing.

The same happened with Moritz, who was no better than Garvan but got a lot more praise.

Think we got mugged with a lot of signings ollie made and some of them were almost impossible to understand.

Having said that, I think Campana is a real talent and he's still very young - potentially if left to mature properly he could be world class.

That's just my opinion though.

In terms of Moritz - I was a big fan of the guy, he started last season superbly and then was dropped and played as a sub in odd games and everyone jumped at the chance to say "told you he was s***". Apparently he's been one of Bolton's few bright sparks this season ans Garvan was nowhere near the quality of him.

We're the Arthur over ere!
