It's simple. We don't beat Sunderland and we are in the proverbial brown stuff.

Well I have to confess I am at panic stations. Every game I have to change my trousers more than once simply because Palace have made me incontinent. I'm shyte scared when we do go forward and I have a panic attack when we do not go forward. Personally I think its squeaky bum time and my doctor has told me not to listen to any more Palace commentaries. I just wonder if Pulis was to drop KG and Jerome I might be able to make it through a game always given that I could have a wee drop or two through the intravenous pump.

Hey all long time reader but have never really posted and after reading all the negative posts i feel id balance things up with a positive outlook on things. Looking at the table it looks like 18th place will finish on 35 so all we need is 36 to stay up lets call it 37 to be safe. just 10 points from our last 10 games, so lets say 9 points from Sunderland, Cardiff, A villa, W ham and fulham. We are more than capable of 9 points out of these games, sunderland and cardiff look the toughest but i feel we can at least pick 1 point up and that's at our worse, Villa at home we really should be looking at and will need 3 points, w ham will be tough but i think they will be pretty much safe by then and fulham are just terrible. If they aint relegated by the last game of the season then manager of the year has got to go to them. That leaves 1 point from Everton, Newcastle, Chelsea, City and liverpool. if we cant get one point out of these 5 games then we deserve to go down. Chelsea we have no chance but you would fancy us to get a point out of Everton or Newcastle, One of these two games have got 0-0 written all over it, and then there is that shock win "we are due". Looking at Liverpool, are they still going to be in with a shot at the title come us, maybe but i doubt it. They will be guaranteed champions league football tho, so will probably have their end of season party already booked, so that fixture wont be as hard as it looks on paper. I can see us getting more than 37 points but ideally would rather drop points to the big clubs and pick up points from our relegation rivals. looking at our fixtures we have no need to panic and our fixtures aint exactly the hardest when you look at what teams we play and when. being palace it will defiantly go down to the last game of the season but it will be someone else hoping fulham do them a favor rather than fulham doing themselves one and im more than confident that we will stay up. Football just doesn't work like that.

W W W W D W W W D We've got s'land and cardiff away and now people feel we aint got a chance because of one bad performance against a good southampton side at home and a poor first half away to swansea, which we still got a point from. Every defeat takes us away from safety but we are still 3 above the bottom three and as for the rest of the season stick with the three in midfield and two wingers to supply the chances for ffs, It will be tough and it will probably go to the wire and we need to start converting these gallant defeats into draws and wins but it is still (just) within our power to stay up.
Enjoying getting up later and not having someone who knows better than me (apart from the missus of course). |

We drew with Everton and lost by the odd goal at fortress City,why does everyone now see the return games as nil pointer's. Wigan beat city away but we can't beat them at home!,really!!.I know everyone is feeling down after saturday,but get a result saturday and we'll all be

At the moment, I can summarize my emotions with two scenarios. 1) The quiet before a showdown in an old western. 2) The safety control room of Chernobyl just before the reactor blows. I flit between either emotion relatively regularly. I think a heart attack is due before the season is out. At the beginning of the season I told people, particularly the critics claiming we are down already, that "we will be fine". I still think we will be fine, and that's irrespective of what happens this season. Look at where we've come from since 2010? I still feel fortunate to even have a club to support if I'm honest. Sunderland is a massive massive game.

...all the other teams have to win and draw as well, something like us they haven't been able to do very well...I feel we will survive with that last game against Fulham.

Another reason not to panic, when we were promoted we almost certainly were going down. By the time we played Fulham we were certain we were going down. Since Pulis came in, we've given ourselves a decent chance of not going down. Fulham, Sunderland and Cardiff would swap form and position for us in a heartbeat. Then again I was at Sheffield Wednesday - that made me sick (literally). I've decided not to go to Fulham away just in case it feels like that day again. Don't ever want to go through that again. Not again!!! This is the 2nd time we have all started panicking after playing Southampton. The way they play make us look crap, just like the way we play make certain teams look crap. We are ok, and if we beat sunderland we are better than ok. Just stop panicking about the way we play. Top sides have the quality to overturn our tactics and make us look poor because they have playees that can score regardless of who they are against. So stop panicking. WE have enough quality and confidence to win Saturday

I have been looking at the run-in Unbelievably I have us to finish 15th. To me, it's Fulham, Cardiff and West Brom for the drop in that order with Sunderland escaping by the skin of their teeth if they can win at home to West Brom. Norwich have a tough run-in so it's a good job for them they have some points in the bag. We just have to beat our rivals. Even then, if we can beat Wet Spam we can afford to lose to Sunderland but Fulham and Cardiff are must-wins. The only home point I see is one against Villa, so we are going to sweat! T'was ever thus with the Palace.
