I keep hearing about our rivals picking up points. Who?

Fulham 4 points in 5 games.
Cardiff 4 points in 5 games.
Sunderland 7 in 5.
Palace 5 in 5.
WBA 5 in 5.
Norwich 4 in 5.
Swansea 5 in 5.

Of those, only Sunderland have done better than us in the last 10 games. We're playing poorly but still picking up points. No one else in the bottom half can say that.

We gave up 21 goals in the first ten games and only scored 6.

Since then (18 games) we've scored 13 and conceded 17. It's not Pulis' fault we're not scoring. It's been a problem for all three men in charge. At least we're not shipping goals. We'd already be down if we were.

As has been pointed out elsewhere, if we were getting thumped we'd be far worse off. Pulis and Millen had no choice but to set us up to be hard to beat. We have the cheapest squad in the division with an OK back 4 who need protecting, which means that the whole team has to work to keep things tight. Understandably that restricts us going forwards.

If you come to a fork in the road, take it.

In my opinion, we are a lop sided team - good, not great, in defense, but attacking is terrible, there just seems no movement, no play.

I think, that the problem lies with moving the ball from midfield to the strikers.

Yannick looks impressive until he loses it or hoofs it wide - Puncheon dribbles it into the ground.

We need to be brave and have someone that can pass the ball. Bannan, O'K as example.

We haven't scored enough goals - sure you can't rely on the strikers alone, but where are the goals from our wingers? You would expect Yannick to have about 3 games to is name - Jedi with a brace.

We can say it's the rub of the green, or luck, but what it ultimately boils down, Holloway's poor pre season.

Just think for a minute who we may have signed if Pulis or any other other experienced manager would have signed.

Anyways, we have been below average, over all as a team so far - no major shock wins, just plucky/spirited displays.

We are not getting noticed like Hull, we haven't had club trouble like Cardiff.. we are just mediocre in this league and doing damn well to be where we are.

Net season will see a massive change, regardless of league we are in.

Was it a good point? Against a team that's only won 3 times at home all season?!

If that's a good good I'm not sure where our other points this season will come from.

And the football was horrid today, absolutely horrid.

Any away point is a good point.

This - we really need a win. Parking the bus will get us an odd point, but the other struggling teams are all winning the odd game. It will be a dreadful shame if we go down without at least trying to score goals and win games.

But how many times have we won away this season? We were playing against a team who are also fighting for their lives, and like us were s*** scared to lose.

All seems very much like this time twelve months ago, albeit a relegation scrap than a fight to get promoted.

Every point is vital come the end of the season and one gained away at a rival is very precious indeed.

Let's all be honest here. In August, September and particularly October anyone who thought we would stay up would have been considered demented.

As for criticising the style of play well that is just daft. Yes we are truly very, very boring but if that is what it takes then so be it. Just get through to the end of the season in 17th or higher then we can change the team to one which can truly compete in this league.

Decent point, biggest factor was it stopped Sunderland gaining on us. I expected a defeat so it's a point gained in my book, disappointed with the other results but hey April's the month.

Norwich did lose , so with their end of season matches, they will likely be in the drop zone. At least, however poorly we play, we continue to pick up points. Another point at Newcastle please!

Norwich pull the odd rabbit out of the hat like three points against Spurs but we don't seem to manage that at all and we need to pull off one surprise result to help us in our quest

Trips to the North east haven't in the past yielded much yet we have beaten Hull and got an important point away to Sunderland and maintained the gap to them

Yes would have liked a win ....but points away to Swansea and Sunderland..... that's a good return.

We have winnable games against Cardiff, Villa, West Ham and Fulham.....our surprise top 10 win must surely be Liverpool......Any at Newcastle, Everton, and home to Chelsea abd City will bre unlikely bonuses

But what makes Cardiff, Villa, west ham and Fulham more winnable than yesterday's game against Sunderland?

Cardiff and Fulham are fighting for their lives, west ham have had a mini revival of sorts and villa have performed better than us all season.
