We are forgetting Norwich and Swansea. Remaining games - "big" teams (inc Saints but exc Newcastle) in parenthesis: West Brom 9 (3) I can see West Brom pulling free. Good form, game in hand, "easiest" run-in. Cardiff and Fulham have enviable run-ins; but are NVG and may struggle to pick up the points from their rivals to get out of the bottom 3. Sunderland - fixture congestion and exhaustion may take their toll; but not all 5 relegation rivals are likely to be as mean as us. I suspect they will pick up just enough points to finish above us. Swansea is difficult. Their current form is not good and their run-in is similar to ours. However, they have 2 points on us and a much better goal difference. Sadly, I suspect they have enough to keep them up. Meaning (inevitably) It may be between us and Norwich for that last relegation slot. Is it not always so? If I were a betting man I would say that we will grab that 17th place, if only on goal difference. Howewever, it will only be decided at the final game.

We may only need to win one, lose two and draw the rest. Ideally, I really want to see us win three before the Man City game. It'd be nice for once to go into the end of season without something hanging in the balance.

Hull will survive but it's quite feasible we could have Fulham, Cardiff, West Brom, Sunderland, Norwich, West Ham and Swansea below us. In roughly that order is my current estimation but any of them could take the drop. Right now we aren't in a bad place.

everybody harping on about our tough final 9 games. And, to be honest, yes, very tough. But i have looked at our rivals and struggle to find one with an easy set of final games to play. Surely all games for bottom teams against top half teams are tough. Have to look at whether team is showing some improvement - or not - rather than who they playing Often in it the end comes down to character, desire etc.

Norwich and Swansea I'm not too bothered about as it's the teams below us that need to lose and we need to pick up points to bridge the gap even more.
