Reading Simon Jordan's book. One thought springs to mind.....its always someone else. ALWAYS THE OTHERS.

Its a good book.
Some interesting behind the scenes little bits you wont hear anywhere else. I have some sympathy with the way it ended up for him and I would not be surprised as he claims several times if Parish had his eye on Palace long before administration and was not such a 'reluctant buyer' but everything happens for a reason and the way it turned out for the club and fans could not have worked out better.
Simon Jordan is bitter, in some respects he has a right to be but everyone else has moved on. Its time he did the same.
Bitching and wining wont bring his money back.

Why O Why can we not forget Simon Jordan?. I know he screwed us royally but for FFS lets forget he ever existed!.

In what way did he screw us may I enquire?

Stopped paying the leccie, st johns anbulance and numerous other bills for starters

Probably after doing all his money, trying to creat something special at our club, ok he got it wrong, and lost a fortune, parish & co. Won't make the same mistake, but it can hardly be classed as screwed royally...... I will always be a Jordan fan for what he achieved at palace, and I'm sorry it went wrong for him.

Don't know why some people hate him as he had Palace in his heart and lost all of his money.

If he was given the chance to sell Moses for 5 million then the people who he owed would have got their money, but because they wanted to be c**ts and not wait he had to declare bankruptcy.

I will always like Jordan and he stood up what he thought was right.

Also we only got £700k instead of £5m Bostock which f**ked us up.

Some interesting questions and answers from Jordan.

No, that was then current Palace Chairman Simon Jordan answering FourFourTwo readers' questions in 2009. With a liberal dose of economy with the truth.

My point about Mr Jordan is how he managed to get on the wrong side of people, everybody he dealt with. And he complains constantly in his book what so and so said about him, what Mrs x said to him, how ungrateful everyone was. Come on Simon, what is the common, consistent factor in all this? It's you.
One situation said it all for me. Crewe had a future England centre forward on their books, a youngster. Now the manager at Crewe was an former Palace youth team manager, a very good one, who also had a brief time managing the first team. Jordan made an approach and made an offer, matched by Norwich. Jordan says Dario Grady (the manager at Crewe) turned it down because he didn't like Jordan! How did Jordan come across and what had he said to poison the situation? The same thing happened time and again with nearly everyone. Norwich eventually got the striker because, according to Jordan, they reneged on an agreement over a combined approach to Crewe. How naïve was our chairman then? As I said, its not him, its always someone else. Why?

We're all aware of his gaping personality flaws. But at the same time, he acted in the best interests of the club, took no s*** and got us to the Premier League.

The fact of the matter is, he got royal f***ed over on numerous occasions. I prefer a person who says it how it is rather then the sort who would just allow our manager to lie his way out of a contract only to join your local rivals. Same with the Bostock affair.

He was Palace through and through, lost a vast fortune and was a victim of some disgraceful underhand tactics as much as he was responsible for his own downfall.

I like him, a prize tit, but our prize tit. At least he always had a go and was never bland. He never 'screwed us over' either, he f***ed it up, but that's a different matter. Pay the 100k agent fee for tim Cahill and I've no doubt we'd have stayed up that year. Shot himself in foot with his ego but that's just way he is.

Yes JL65, I thought he was a great Palace man, but, why oh why did he have this endless list of run-ins with, seemingly, everyone. Having said that, I am so saddened to hear about how Kember behaved and the way Coppel acted. Both great heroes of mine. A union man at work once laughed about the fact that when he came into the place the management would hide in fear. Trouble is, he was there to negotiate on our behalf and the attitude of the management towards him could have been more a hinderance to that. I'm really not anti Jordan, just concerned at his take on things making his life, and effectedness, impoverished. Love to have a drink with him tho'!

Why don't YOU tell us how he screwed us?

Wife beating may be socially acceptable in Sheffield, but it is a different matter in Cheltenham
