I'm afraid I agree , he ain't quick enough for the way we play, and I'm yet to see anything that tells me he is premiership class. Would he get in any other premiership side? Jerome maybe a s*** finisher but he caused defenders problems with his pace, strength and movement, and he and chamakh worked well together. Personally I'd start with jerome, get him to run the defence ragged for an hour or so then bring on Murray

The lineup previously had Chamakh deep and Jerome in front scaring the defence unfortunately Jerome is not a natural goalscorer and Chamakh panics when he has the ball anywhere near the goal. The not fit yet Murray on the other hand now has Ledley behind him but he is not doing the job that Chamakh was doing. It would be useful to try Jerome up front for a half or even an hour and then try Murray with two wingers (Bolasie and Puncheon). Maybe when all the newbies (I include Murray in that) have has time to gel we will see a difference but the games are running out. Ps i was hoping this thread would be about fans as we are coming up to the warmer weather and I prefer them to a full blown aircon. Never mind.
Enjoying getting up later and not having someone who knows better than me (apart from the missus of course). |
