Well it was said quite a few times before the season started; it's not this season that counts, but how Palace are set for the following season. How many players are on premier wages, is there a settled team, rehearsed in a particular style, have the reserves and youth players been primed to step up?

Not sure what your point is...as predicted? And a settled team? Yea it's the same players that start every game...reserves and youth being primed? Ummm yea, that's why they are all out on loan, makes no difference what league we are in.

This BS about this season not counting is exactly that BS. The club knows it hence why Pulis is here because he sure as hell doesn't want to be managing a championship side. We need to...and are focused on this season and staying in the Prem.

That's the problem Kermit, I don't think anyone knows too much. Hang on for next season and hope for the best?

Well Jimmyc the point is: Palace were promoted sooner than was ideal. They had only just faced extinction and escaped, had a new managerial set-up, new board and no settled team. The writing was (is ) on the wall as far as relegation was concerned. The only saving grace is Palace using the whole situation as a springboard to produce a grounded company, financially balanced with a settled playing style emanating from the development of young players. Ideally not wasting time, energy and money on a failed attempted to stay in the premier. i.e. long term policies over short term gains. Thus producing long term stability. My thread asks if this is being achieved.
