this is the closest to what I see as possible, with a draw against Cardiff rather than a win

I think realistically we may struggle at Cardiff. They can and do score goals but their defence is suspect. If they score we may well lose. I think draw against Villa and West Ham, win at Fulham and hopefully a surprise point from somewhere else although don't know where.

Agree with this. They scored three against Liverpool on Saturday and think this will be a tough ask.Hopefully we'll try to play a more attacking game to cause them problems otherwise I think we'll lose this one. We're running out of games now. Villa at home a must win cos we will get bugger all from the other three home games except maybe our goal difference smashed up...and that leaves us relying on our away games with our awful away record.Best we can hope for IMO is 35 points (two wins and a draw) and not sure that'll be enough.Really fear for us now I'm afraid.

We beat Cardiff at Selhurst and we'll beat them at their place also.

It will come down to needing to beat Fulham away to stay up

And we'll either get the tears of anguish (Charlton in 2005) or the tears of relief (Sheffield 2010)

Avoid defeat against Cardiff and Fulham and a win (at home against AV or WH) keeps us up. Looking at the other sides' fixtures, 5 points from our remaining games should be enough....

I doubt it. The only year I can find where 34 points was enough was the last year we went down. Not a good omen.

Looking at the other team's fixtures I reckon 7 pts could do it, even 6 on goal difference. Villa's run in could see them nosedive so 3pts against them is a must. The Spam could easily drop too. Cardiff or Fulham will be the real toughies imo. Nothing from Chelski Citeh or the Scousers with a possible draw at Everton. So unlucky against Newcastle just hope that point doesn't prove to be disastrous.As a previous poster said "buckle up"... here we go again!

The lack of goals is what is costing us and unless we show more ambition I can't see us beating anyone before we go to Fulham.
If you only create 2 or 3 proper chances in a game and spend 75% of the time in your own half then it is unlikely that your forwards will have even remembered wher the goal is.
He needs to trust the players and play 4-4-2.
Cardiff might have a suspect defence but they will score against us.
Villa are far better away from home and it is unlikely we will get anything against Chelsea, Everton, City or Liverpool.
West Ham might be the place perhaps?
3 points there, maybe 1 at Cardiff and 1 at home to Villa will leave us on 33 when we go to Fulham and there is where next Season will be decided in my opinion.
Like Charlton back in 2005 I will be there but just can't face going down again - too much to bear.
However - we have a chance and that is good but we need to press more between now and then to create more chances.
