I don't necessarily have an issue with playing defensively to try to avoid a defeat. If we actually got a point against a big team then that'd be great. What frustrates me is that after going 1-0 down against any of the big clubs, we rarely seem to attack them. I guess goal difference is in TP's mind, but when you're 1-0 down it is harsh to watch us defend a 1-0 defeat just to keep the goal difference down.

I believe I am right in saying that of the top 7 or 8 teams the only one we have scored against after going behind is Chelsea.

I think we only really go offensive if it goes to 2-0. At 1-0 down, you've got a chance still to get back into it, even if you're playing defensively and hoping to get a break (Like Swansea where we got a penalty). Whilst you don't fashon many chances, there is always a chance that you convert one, or the otherside makes a critical mistake (or the referee throws a decision your way).

Had we gone all out to get a goal, we'd probably have been 2-0 down by that point.

I suspect what we really lack, that Pulis would kill for, is a Rory Delapp. That 'long throw' turned throws into a promising dead ball situation.

If we stay up, get Gunnarsson in for KG...

Not gonna lie, I would absolutely love an upset this weekend and get a 1-0 win. Perfect timing due to our poor form in the last 5, extend the gap between us and relegation which is slowly closing.

It'd be typical Palace to take 3 points from Chelsea and then lose against Cardiff.

How can anyone honestly say they prefer boring football if it keeps Palace in the Prem? If Palace are playing boring, non-attacking football it means defeat is on the cards. If Palace attack it means defeat may also be likely, but there is the chance of better. Just look how other teams are having a go. Playing boring football at the moment looks likely to send Palace down. Come on TP give it a go!

If we played attacking football could we would be 8 points worse off I would say and nailed on going down now this way we still have a sniff at staying up we just dont have the attacking options in our squad.First season in the prem is about staying up and it does not matter how you do it

If Palace had gone all out attack we would be 10 points better off. First season in the Prem is about staying up, not playing so defensively that relegation is on the cards. Other teams are proving it: positive is good, negative is bad.

Please tell me what other teams with a squad as weak as ours our proving it ? Cardiff attack and get hammered Fulham in all fairness have a go and get hammered West Ham have got a proven squad at this level Stoke the same Swansea attack and make no doubt about it are still in the mire Sunderland again attack and get beat

Palace fans need to get real and realise we are not Real Madrid we are Palace and being defensive has gven us a real sniff and I would not swap it

After watching football mostly at The Palace and playing football in the lower echelons of the game for seventy years I can remember many upsets and I think one of the greatest was last years Cup Final when, out of the blue,Wigan beat a fancied Man City side. Upsets happen and nothing is final until The Fat Lady Sings so with these thoughts in mind I reckon we just might nick a point on Saturday. I'm not saying it will happen but it could happen and as we are due a bit of luck it may be our time to laugh.
