Would we get this on top of the parachute payment money we still have not recieved (reserved until after the 1st season I believe) which I think was £60 mill.

The parachute money is for relegated teams.

We'll receive the amount reserved for the position we finish up in. The three relegated teams will get the payment for coming 18th, 19th and 20th and then payments tailing off for the next few seasons.

Ok so as I understand it wasn't £120mil we got from getting promoted as i heard we got half straight away and the rest if we got relegated, so insted we could get £133mil over all for this season.

As has already been pointed out the wages of the top players disfigures the average wage.

Most players aren't on £30 grand.

Parish and co have been quite clear from the start.....Despite the regular calls from some posters on Hol we aren't going to bankrupt ourselves chasing glory.

They came in to stabalise the club and whatever the situation next season you won't see us taking risks financially just to stay in the division.

The fans on Palace talk who call for a 'twenty goal a season' striker or boardroom ambition won't ever really learn.....We got here without a massive club wage bill and we will look to remain with a 'competitive' one for a mid table side.

I see us going for Rhodes in the close season....But outside of that I doubt there will be much in the way of 'big name' signings.

Spot on...not only have players like Scott Dann have had to 'drop' wages to come to us all the contracts now have relegation clauses in them as well. We're far better prepared for the 'worst case scenario' than a lot of other clubs. Also having Dann in teh club and having him settled in really well may well give us a shout with Rhodes who i also think will suit play.

It was £120mil in total over about 5 seasons if we got relegated. One annual total of £60mil ish and I think 4 of almost £60mil.

If you want to work out how much we make away from Prem & Sky money then we used to bring in revenue of £13-£14mil in the Championship (14th highest in that division). I think about £4mil was TV money, but that was with an average gate of 16,000, cheaper tickets and £1 and freebie tickets as well. The gate money doesn't go up a lot, but it's a lot to a Champ club on £14mil and money is money. Then there is also hospitality.

If we manage to finish about 14th or 15th then we might get £70mil and whatever we make on ticketing and hospitality and general revenue. That might reach to about £20mil, or it might not even be that much. But we blew a lot on updating Selhurst around the pitch on ad boards and tv gantries, a bit inside the Arfur I think, inside the main stand, and outside the main stand.

After having to satisfy agent demands for higher wages matching other Prem main stayers and asking prices for players we need to buy with cash to spend, you'll be lucky to have much left. What we need to do is make sure there is some left each season. I don't know, £5mil- £10mil so that it isn't just cash flow we're relying on until we get relegated but actual surplus money that isn't charged an interest fee in loans.

No it isn't.

One positive is that if we can remain in the Premiership then the size of the club will have been significantly increased from last season.

Little by little these improvements increase our status......But it does kind of mean that we are staying at Selhurst.

Which if we are ever to significantly progress we would need to move and build a new stadium......And ideally it would be at our ancestral home.

Its obscene really isn't it...and given those amounts and Ambramoviches wallet it makes my mind boggle how Chelsea made a 50m loss last year

I dont quite get this undersoil heating thing.

If there is ice and snow in the surrounding areas on the pavements, they say it's a health and safety issue and call the game off.

So why do we need to have it...spose I'm just a thick idiot but i'd like an answer

Torres for £50mil one season. Ballack costing whatever it was at the same time. Other positions not updated. Several positions filled seasons after. £200k a week wages making £10mil per season for the player. Having 25 internationals who could play on any Saturday in 15 or more of the Prem matchday XI.

A lot of the time the ground in the garden or the park is rock solid and the pavement and road have no ice at all.
