In those days we used to sing a few other clubs' songs too, sometimes with different lyrics, sometimes not, such as West Ham's "bubbles" and the "play up Pompey" song. We also nicked "celery" off Chelsea and a version of "oh when the saints..." from Southampton. I never understood why but it did happen. Thank goodness, I thought I was truly having a senior moment.

We may have got to the point where most people are at least neutral about the Scousers enjoying their day but the strong consensus is we focus on our own enjoyment primarily. I reckon people would clap them if they do get the league.

It's a long trail but, in a nutshell, nobody fancies that idea. But I would be prepared to if they sing Glad All Over first.

We may have got to the point where most people are at least neutral about the Scousers enjoying their day but the strong consensus is we focus on our own enjoyment primarily. I reckon people would clap them if they do get the league.
